Induced pluripotential stem cells… the future?



In 2006, Japanese researchers used viral vectors to transfer genes from embryonic stem cells to adult cells. This resulted in adult mouse cells behaving like stem cells. The experiment was then recreated using adult human skin cells with the same result. In essence, adult cells were made to behave like pluripotential stem cells. The concern is malignancy. How do you turn the cells off?
